Testing Research
When it came down to testing our product we wanted to test the strength of the case, because the whole point of our case is to be strong so it can protect your valuables. We also wanted to test how waterproof the case was because if your valuables get wet it could ruin them. Because no one has attempted to make a product like ours there was very little research we could do to test the case. However some of the research we did do was we looked up the strength of basswood because that is what our case it made out of. We got the image below from wood-database.com and got an overall idea of how durable the wood was.
We also researched how companies test actual phone cases. On digitaltrends.com we found how real rugged phone companies such as Otter box test their phones. The article "How do you decide on a rugged case? Look at how each company tests them"
talked about how the phones go through drop tests, weight test and even fireproof tests. Because our case was made out of wood we disregarded the fire test however did complete a weight test to go along with our waterproof test. |
